The PowerWAVE5000/T is available in a choice of three cabinet sizes: A, B or C. These aesthetic small footprint tower cabinets obviate the need for any third party enclosures. The choice of cabinet is mainly dictated by the battery autonomy required. Custom battery frames can be designed for longer than standard autonomies.

The PowerWAVE5000/T provides extensive battery autonomy in a small footprint. This is reinforced by longer autonomy options and comprehensive battery management features
- Autonomies to over 2 hours with internal batteries, maintaining aesthetic appearance and minimising footprint
- Customised UPS and battery frames for longer autonomies
- Battery charger ripple of <1% to maximise battery life
- Automatic and adjustable period battery testing to identify problems before they can cause failures

The PowerWAVE5000/T series maximises both the availability and the quality of power delivered to the load.
- Wide input voltage window (-40% for loads less than 60%) for high availability with minimum battery usage
- Wide input frequency window (35 to 70Hz) for high availability with minimum battery usage
- Static voltage stability of ±1%
- Output voltage distortion with linear load is ±1%
- Overload capacity of 125% for 10 minutes or 150% for 1 minute
- Dual input feed ability to support mains supply redundancy
- Static bypass switch giving system redundancy
Flexible communications options for local and remote monitoring and control
The PowerWAVE5000/T series accommodates easy user interaction, with both a local user interface and remote communications features. This permits integration of these UPSs into enterprise wide monitoring and management strategies.
- Power Management Display (PMD) providing local indication of UPS status and facilitating UPS start up, shut down and alarm acknowledgement
- Dry Port (Volt free contacts) for remote signalling and managed computer shutdown
- RS232 serial Smart Port for monitoring and integration into management networks
- Optional remote signal panel (RSP) for UPS status indication
- Optional SNMP card/adapter for network management and remote monitoring
- Wavemon software for automatic shutdown and monitoring
