The PowerWAVE 9000 range is available in a choice of single, dual and three UPS module freestanding system cabinets, with a maximum power rating of 300kVA from one cabinet. They can be sited adjacent to one another and simply connected to implement a parallel capacity or redundant system at cabinet level. Batteries can be mounted in co-ordinated cabinets or custom enclosures.

High Capacity modular hot-swap design: improving availability, rightsizing and scaleability
PowerWAVE9000's design is based on individual UPS modules with three-phase output power from 10kVA to 100kVA. These modules are self contained, complete with their own CPU static switch and all parallel functions. Up to three can be plugged into an elegant PowerWAVE system cabinet with no need for additional cabling or components. Additional cabinets can be populated and paralleled, with no limit to total capacity.
- Modular design permits a repair time substantially lower than that for a conventional UPS system, significantly increasing power availability
- Hot swappability means that modules can be exchanged while the UPS is online, so a redundant module failure does not interrupt power to the load.
- The modules can be used to configure an up to 1MVA n+1 parallel redundant capacity closely matched or 'rightsized' to the actual load, maximising the operational efficiency of the UPS.
- With easy addition of modules and cabinets, PowerWAVE9000 is a futureproof UPS system allowing efficient accommodation of all further growth.
Power conversion design: Total protection with minimised operating costs
The PowerWAVE9000 design provides protection from harmful power behaviour. It also brings significant cost savings through efficient operation.
- A near unity input power factor minimises the input current drawn in relation to the critical load size, allowing reduced sizing in input cabling, switchgear and associated components.
- Input current total harmonic distortion of <10% reduces harmonic emissions which can otherwise threaten compliance with Energy Networks Association recommendations
- An efficiency of up to 96% online minimises UPS losses, operating costs and cooling requirements
- True sinusoidal voltage output with a static output tolerance of ±1% eliminates overheating effects in the load
- Wide input voltage and frequency tolerance maximise availability of power to the load.
- High overload capacity of 125% for 10 minutes or 150% for 1 minute provides UPS resilience to load surges
- Input or output isolation transformers optionally available for special voltages or galvanic isolation
- Dual input feed option for extra resilience to primary mains failure
Flexible communications for local or remote monitoring and control
The PowerWAVE9000 includes an operator interface for local control. It also has options for remote monitoring and control across your onsite network
- Power Management Display (PMD) providing local indication of UPS status and facilitating UPS start up, shut down and alarm acknowledgement
- Dry Port (Volt free contacts) for remote signalling and managed computer shutdown
- Contacts for Emergency Off, Generator On and Battery Temperature Sensor
- RS232 serial Smart Port for monitoring and integration into management networks
- Optional remote signal panel (RSP) for UPS status indication
- Optional SNMP card/adapter for network management and remote monitoring
- Optional Wavemon software for remote or centralised automatic shutdown and monitoring
